I sustained a severe brain injury in 1994, falling of a moped in Cyprus without a helmet. What that has left me with is little use of my right side, slight sppech problems, serious memory problems and a total change of life.

Since the accident I've returned to a University course. This time doing a HND in Graphic design at the Norton Centre of Sheffield University, Since I graduated I have tried to set up domdot design, a social enterprise offering opportunities to disadvantaged groups and individuals. The business would be heavily involved in all forms of design work from graphic to web to video. Because of funding situations i.e. couldn't get any, it never started up.

I have worked at Sky sports on a temporary contract working in the films departments and the sports department.I've also had a contract working at the BBC in Leeds doing the website. Dom has also undertaken teaching working for RCAT and Cder teaching graphic design and web design.

Dominic regularly attends different meetings ranging from the Rotherham PCT trust board meetings, Headway Rotherham – the brain injury association and is on the committee for the DTH Community Partnership where he is a member of the communication team, the management and been asked to become a trustee.

I have got married to the loverly Doreen, and I go around the country giving talks about my life to doctors, dentists and therapists

I have also undertaken many charity fundraising events like 'Le Tour de Asda' and several bike'A'thons. Through doing this I have got into Cycling.

Since 1994 Headway has been a great help to me and my family and friends and especially Headway Rotherham.
